It’s that time of year again when craft beer drinkers across New Zealand get to vote for their five best tasting beers of 2021 in the GABS Hottest 100 Kiwi Craft Beers People Choice Poll!
It’s fair to say that the craft beer industry has truly shown their mettle during another pandemic affected year. One only needs to take a look at the plethora of brilliant choice in your local bottle shop to appreciate that the industry has come through 2021 booming, so narrowing the selection down to just five favourites could be an agonising task for beer lovers!
Last year, it was a fantastic result for Garage Project’s Sunrise Valley which took out the #1 spot in its DEBUT year! Sunrise Valley was joined on the podium by Parrot Dog’s Birdseye and Deep Creek Brewing Co’s Misty Miyagi.
This poll is all about the consumer. Beer enthusiasts can select from nominations of hundreds of great beers by Kiwi breweries and if they can’t find that one drop they loved in 2021, they can even nominate it themselves to make their vote count and also win ticket the Auckland GABS Beer Festival.
It all ends with some huge live countdown parties around the country on 5 February as the top 100 beers of 2021 are revealed.
